Brooks House Wins Wednesday’s Featured Haphazard Purse

LEXINGTON, KY (April 11, 2018) – Millennium Farms’ Brooks House surged past pacesetting Purely a Dream just yards from the finish line to win the $78,000 Haphazard Purse for fillies and mares by a nose before a Wednesday afternoon crowd of 8,240.
Trained by Steve Asmussen and ridden by Joel Rosario, Brooks House covered the mile on a “good” turf course in 1:39.61.
A Keeneland sales graduate, Brooks House is a 5-year-old Kentucky-bred daughter of Mizzen Mast out of the Theatrical (IRE) mare Blush On Cue. The victory was worth $46,800 and increased her earnings to $186,785 with a record of 18-3-2-5.
Brooks House returned $30.20, $12 and $7. Purely a Dream, ridden by Brian Hernandez Jr., returned $14 and $8.40. Lola’s the One finished third, another three-quarters of a length back under Mitchell Murrill and paid $15.60 to show.
